This 100% cotton bandana has been naturally dyed using oak galls and iron, creating a soft, earthy grey with beautiful depth and natural variation. The pattern of white rings, known as “Skimming Stones,” is made by binding the cloth before dyeing, each ring echoing the ripple of a stone skipping across water.
Measuring approximately 55cm x 55cm, this bandana is the perfect versatile accessory for everyday wear, styling, gifting, or creative use
The oak gall and iron dye process is one of the oldest natural dye traditions, producing subtle, timeless greys with incredible durability. Each bandana is dyed individually, resulting in a unique arrangement of rings and soft tonal differences throughout the cloth.
Use it as a:
●Neck or hair accessory
●Handkerchief or pocket square
●Eco-friendly gift wrap
●Altar cloth or ritual textile
●Craft, quilting, or sewing fabric
●Everyday essential for slow, natural living
Iron-based dyes are known for their excellent permanency, though gentle fading may occur over time, an expected and beautiful part of natural dyeing. For best care, wash at 20°C with a pH-neutral, non-biological detergent and avoid prolonged drying in direct sunlight.
A unique, nature-dyed accessory with a calming, organic pattern, perfect for those who love botanical colour, quiet texture, and the beauty of hand-dyed cloth.
