Naturally Dyed Top 004

Vintage top with a round neckline and embroidery/lace work on the sleeves and neckline. The sleeves on this are quite dramatic! 

The label states 100% cotton however the lacework is likely synthetic, and has taken the dye very lightly - it currently is light blue and is likely to fade over time back to white, creating an effective two-tone effect. 

There is no clothing manufacturer/retailer label or original size label, our measurements are shown below. 

This top has been dyed in a strong indigo vat so it's a dark blue with pale lace.  

The colours of naturally dyed fabric, especially garment dyed are never as solid as you might expect to find from a commercially synthetic dyed item of clothing so expect depth and variation in shade across the garment. 

Indigo is very light and wash fast, however fading will happen eventually - just like a pair of denim jeans. This will happen faster if the clothing is hung in direct sunlight or exposed to harsh detergents. 

This is best washed at 20 degrees on a moderate spin speed, with a pH neutral non-biological detergent. 

Due to the nature of indigo dye, some colour transfer may occur, especially when worn or washed alongside lighter fabrics.
